“My Village Project,” implemented by Uwezo Tanzania, has significantly enhanced teaching and learning methods, especially in addressing challenges faced by children struggling with reading and numeracy skills. As one of the teachers trained through this initiative, I have gained invaluable knowledge and skills that have transformed my classroom experience.
Before attending the training, I found it challenging to energize and engage my class. However, after the training, I learned effective strategies to make my lessons lively and ensure my students are enthusiastic and ready to learn. The project introduced various practical teaching and learning methods, including the use of games and activities, which have made learning enjoyable and effective for students. Additionally, this training has given me the confidence to teach effectively and support my children at Kimbila primary school, Kisarawe. I am deeply grateful to Uwezo Tanzania for this impactful project and hope the training will continue to reach more schools to support children struggling with reading and numeracy.” Teacher, Nuru Haule-Kisarawe.
